WISeR Model Resources

Take advantage of these resources before January 1, 2026

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is launching a new program which aims to decrease wasteful spending, the Wasteful and Inappropriate Service Reduction (WISeR) Model. It is scheduled to be implemented January 1, 2026. Ohio is included as one of six trial states.

CMS Claims Update

Updates and solutions for the CMS claims

On October 21, CMS released updated guidance lifting many of the temporary claims holds. The temporary claims hold was lifted for claims paid under the Medicare Physician Fee Schedule, ground ambulance transport claims, and Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) claims. Claims holds on behavioral and mental health services have also been lifted.
