The Gerard V. Yu, DPM Scientific Paper Competition and 2024 Resident Poster Competition will be held during the 108th Annual Ohio Foot and Ankle Scientific Seminar.
This is an opportunity for active resident members of the Ohio Foot and Ankle Medical Association to showcase their talent and hard work in the presentation of their research.
2023 competition finalists received over $3,000 in cash and prizes!

Scientific Paper Competition
Residents who are OHFAMA members in good standing may submit a paper. Paper submitted by non-members will not be accepted.
Paper submissions must be postmarked by Friday, February 9, 2024. To apply:
- Complete the one-page application and mail with your paper submission to the OFAMF
- Submit a copy of the paper with title pages that indicate the title ONLY
- Carefully review your submission paper to make sure that any references to a residency program or director are removed
- Papers must be HIPAA compliant to protect patient identity on films or pathology reports
Scientific Poster Competition
Residents who are OHFAMA members in good standing may submit a poster. Posters submitted by non-members will not be accepted.
If you would like your research to be considered for presentation at the 2024 Annual Ohio Foot and Ankle Scientific Seminar email your poster information by February 9, 2024.
- Your application and abstract may be submitted to OFAMF via email to lridolfo@ohfama.org.
- Remember, not all submissions are accepted.
- Notification regarding acceptance of posters will be emailed by April 17, 2024.
Finalists will be asked to do a brief 5 minute presentation during the 2024 Annual Seminar after the Scientific Paper Competition at the Columbus Hilton at Easton during the 108th Annual Foot and Ankle Scientific Seminar.
