The Gerard V. Yu, DPM Scientific Paper Competition and 2027 Resident Poster Competition will be held during the 111th Annual Ohio Foot and Ankle Scientific Seminar, Thursday, May 13, 2027.
This is an opportunity for active resident members of the Ohio Foot and Ankle Medical Association to showcase their talent and hard work in the presentation of their research.
2026 competition finalists received over $3,000 in cash and prizes!

2027 Scientific Paper Competition - Submission information will be posted November 2026. Submissions will be due by February 10, 2027 and Finalists will be notified by April 16, 2027
Resident finalists will present their research to a panel of five judges on Thursday, May 13, 2027 from 1:00 - 3:00 PM. The papers are first evaluated by a panel of five blind judges with no information about who submitted the paper or the program that submitted it. The blind judges scores are then added to the onsite presentation judges scores to determine the winners of the competition.
